Cameo Girls Head Vase - Martina 1778-Evening in Seville - Beneath the orange trees in the Plaza Nueva, Martina savors the fragrance of the blossoms and the attentive smile of her dance partner as they practice the steps of the Bolero. Here, grace finds its ultimate expression and Martina's silk organza gown, dyed with madder-root, rustles as she executes the turns of the Bolero's grand finale, the Bien Parado. Silken hair is gathered up into a carved mantilla comb and garlanded with sunset roses and pearls.
